What is BPE (Benign Prostate Enlargement)?
Symptoms from an enlarged prostate can occur when the cells in the prostate increase in number. An enlarged prostate can start at the age of 40–50 and is seen as a natural part of aging. In Sweden, there are about 400,000 men with enlarged prostates, of which about 300,000 are in contact with healthcare.
Business
ProstaLund sells or rents out the CoreTherm® platform to clinics and hospitals and then sells disposable products for the treatment of BPE. The single-use products consist of CoreTherm® treatment catheters, Schelin Catheter® and CoreFlow® Soft Stent and represent a recurring revenue from treating clinics.
